Website Quality Raters

What is a Website Rater? - These positions entail reviewing websites for relevancy to search queries i.e how well did the results match the searchers request. Microsoft and Google are the primary companies needing these services and they outsource the hiring of raters to various companies (listed below)

What are the qualifications to become a Website Rater? - For the companies I have listed below, a degree is preferred, but not required. Solid experience navigating the web is must as well. Good analytical skills are helpful as well.  You will be required to take and pass a test in order to be hired. Although the scheduling is flexible, must be able to commit to 10-20 hours a week.

How much can I make as a Website Rater? - Positions at the companies below pay anywhere between $10-$15 an hour, with an expecation that you work anywhere between 10 - 24 hours a week (varies by company). You would be considered an independent contractor of the hiring company, not Google nor Microsoft.

Pros - Good pay, work when you want, from anywhere an internet connection is available.
Cons - The work can become monotonous at times, so you need to be self motivated to get it done. You can and will be released from projects if you don't complete the required volume on time and with sufficient quality.
