Work at Home Jobs You May Not Know About

When most people think about work at home jobs a large percentage think scams (which often times is true unfortunately). A smaller percentage know that legitimate home based roles exist, but think they are limited to customer service, tutoring and writing jobs. Today I'd like to present 4 little known jobs that can and are being done from home.

1.Pharmacist - Companies like Humana hire home based pharmacists. These positions focus on research vs face to face customer interaction.

2.Social Work - Many social work positions are field based, which require visiting patients at their homes or treatment facilties and doing the supporting paperwork from your home office.

3. Nursing - Similar to Social Work, there are many roles where nurses can do the bulk of their work from home, with the occassional patient or hospital visit.

3. Recruiting - I have worked in the professional recruitment field for more than 10 years and worked 90% out of my home office for the last five. The majority of home based recruitment jobs tend to reside in Technology and Consulting environments.

4. Administrative - More and more mid-high leve support roles have telecommuting options, which makes sense, since the bulk of the activities surround organizing calendars and preparing electronic correspondences.
