I few weeks ago, I was perusing around the web and stumbled across this site called Recraigslist.
It's basically a blog about a guy, creating a full time income, obtaing items off of Craigslist and then turning around and reselling them at a higher price. As the saying goes "necessity is the mother of invention". He had completed his contractor's license and realized he had no interest in contracting, so he quit, w/no backup plan in place and a family to support.
A friend encouraged him to get involved in buying and selling items off of Craiglist. He did it for a while as a hobby, then turned into a full time income. You can read more of his story here
I think the idea is so simple its genius, and anyone can do it, with very little to no startup cash (people give away items on Craigslist all the time. Why not get a free item, clean it/repair/wash if needed, then sell for profit..genius).
I'm going to try this soon and post my results.
