This public information could include mortgage information, property values, death/birth records, etc. Some courthouses have this information available online, but most do not.

What are the requirements to become a Courthouse Researcher? - Most positions do not require previous experience. You must have reliable transportation if you need to visit the courthouse in person. You should also be able to type relatively fast and accurate since many companies pay by the number and accuracy of records collected.

How much does a Courthouse Researcher pay - Pay can average between $7-$20 an hour based on the company and the number of accurate records collected. Some companies offer performance bonuses as well.
